Review: Truckers 1 & 2 (Curvy Virgin & Alpha MFM+ Menage) by Q. Zayne

Review: Truckers 1 & 2 (Curvy Virgin & Alpha MFM+ Menage) by Q. Zayne

Title: Truckers 1 & 2
Author: Q. Zayne
Series: (Not Sure)
Genre: Dark Romance, BDSM, Menage
Publisher: Hughes Empire
No. of Pages: 93 Pages
My Review: 4 Stars

Truckers 1 & 2 is the story of Buck And Lyle. Both are truckers; if you were wondering.

Now, before I go further; Below is the Synopsis from Goodreads:

Synopsis:
" Truckers—Tyrone is now live. The intense adult material in this book is not for everyone.
I have a secret. I still have my V card, and I'm on my first road trip across the country.
Is the smoldering hot trucker with the melting smile a knight of the road, or is he the bad man I've been warned about?

Buck has plans for me. By the time I find out what he expects my untouched, curvy body to endure, I'm not sure there's anything I wouldn't let him do, including everything risky with his silver fox buddy and their mammoth Black best friend. Even when I'm reluctant, Buck knows just how to master me to get everything he wants.

If you're up for this, come on Gia's first ride! These hot short reads are for readers 18+ due to strong sexual content, language and dark themes. Not advised for sensitive readers, or anyone prone to being offended or triggered by fiction. Truckers 1 & 2 contain power play, sharing, unprotected first times, ownership and age gap fast love that may disturb some readers. If you like spirited BBW heroines, tough and tender heroes, dark romance, and imaginative fantasy, the scary-hot moments will make you squirm in all the right ways. Truckers is a novelette and Truckers ~ Lyle is a novella. They are not novels. Both are stand-alones featuring a different couple and HEA.

There are brief previews of two other blue collar menage books in this edition for you.
Please note: These books first appeared as singles. Truckers has appeared in other bundles. Lyle hasn't appeared in any previous collection.

Adventurous readers, let's roll.
Q.    "
Truckers, is an intense and Dark Romance. And it is a Romance. Buck and Lyle's stories are both different with their plot and the climax. With Lyle's story being a lot more Love at first Romance then Buck's.

There is a not a lot of Dark Romance that I can say is DARK but SWEET. For me Lyle's story was that. It was dark but it was sweet.

Trucker's is a combination of Menage, Inter-racial, and a bunch of dark erotic that may and can make a some of the reader's take a step back. But Q. Zayne made it work. I do not think this a complete dark romance. There were other elements that balanced out that part of the book for me.

That being said this is a series, It can be read as a series as well as a stand-alone.

More Changes

I made a couple more changes on this.

I added Goodreads Widgets in it. Hope it works. I can see it. Time will tell if it actually works.

I have two books that I am currently reading. I am almost finished with one. And I am halfway through the other one.

There is no additional changes that I want to make on the blog regarding widgets or themes or anything. Though I am thinking of adding a Monthly TBR List of Books that I want to read that month since it seems I am forgetting some book series that I read. I will add it maybe next week. The first week of November.

I will have one review ready tomorrow or the next day.

Drop Down Menu Update

For this week I give UP!

I have been trying for the last two days to get an appropriate drop down menu. But the only one that actually worked only showed one sub menu. The time being, I have normal menu with a couple of changes.

I was thinking of adding a Monthly TBR List!!

I  have to get the list ready first. It is almost ready.

I do have a couple of ideas about the Currently Reading Book List. Tomorrow. I will get to it Tomorrow. It is 7:19am. I have not slept a wink yet. It is taking me a couple of tries to write this post because I keep writing the wrong spelling.

Sleep! Here I come!!! HeeHEee...

I love cozies with animals in it. And this is one series that I fell in love with from the first book on wards.

This is one of those series that I count the days and then the hours I have until I can read it.

As with all previous two book. There is a Mystery. A death of a coven member and a much loved local Vet has a lot of people feeling a lot of things.

The book starts with Anna and Kenisha finding the Local Vet's body. And realizing that the local Pet Celebrity has been cat-napped. I got to say... I though that this one was going to be an at least an easy one to solve. Boy, I was wrong! SO Wrong!

Delia James is great with the twists and turns and weaving a story line that is unique in it's own way.

The beginning rankled me a little. Mainly because there was one too many times were Anna was at the right/wrong time for her to find a key piece of information regarding the mystery. For me it was a bit annoying.

However, as I kept reading the mystery took over. With the added blossoming relationship with the bartender, this was a great cozy for me to read along with a hot cup of coffee and warm blanket.

I received the ARC through Netgalley. Thank you so much to the publisher for the opportunity.
I honestly do not remember when was the last time I have read a romance that did not have either an element of Mystery or Paranormal or Fantasy.
This probably is the first one in some time.

My first time reading Brittney Sahin's book. I loved it. It was slow to start. But when It did. I flew through the rest of the pages.

The plot is simple. One I have read before but the characters are different. For me that made all the difference. From Noah and Grace's simple rule to always tell the truth to each other. To Grace finding Noah sweet and protective; even trying to protect her from himself and vice versa.

"You may have been born into this life, but that doesn't mean you have to let it control your future."

I can probably give you a dozen more of these that made me fall in love more with Noah or even with Grace. Though I have a feeling If I did that I would give you the whole story.
The book maybe a romance but I think the secondary characters gave me a sense of family. I would love to read about their stories; If their is any in the future.

Discriptive. Swoon worthy reading.

It took some time to get into the book. When I did..... Ooooh boy

Kacy and Meathead. Sorry, I can not get the name out my mind.

It was fun  to read as well as being a Romantic Action. It did the job of covering all aspects of a Good Romance that I like.

Kacy is an Independent women that can kick meathead's butt. Their relationship was something that I did not get at first time around.

Their relationship was quite the opposite of what I usually read. Kacy is a  'I don't need Protection' or a 'I can do it myself'. Kind of girl. Except she probably can do what she says she will do.

I would love to say that I totally loved it. But I only started absolutely liking half way through the book. Going into the book, I thought it was going to be Kacy and the guy she was going to protect that was the main characters. But It was not the case, The Synopsis does not say anything like that. This was something that put me off from the beginning until I actually started liking both of them.

A great Romance for any who likes a Go and get 'em kind of gal in the story.

New Posts

 Hi Guys,

Sorry about being off for a couple of days. I have a two reviews for you today. As far as I remember... Will publish it today. I am just finishing off a cozy mystery. Half way through that. I have a Western! It has been some time since I read a Western anything. So far so good.

Just remembered about the Horror I started and the Dark Romance. Uhhh... The Dark Romance.. Wow! I will try to finish that as well.

Okayyy... There is a reason that I took a couple of days without no posts or anything.

I just signed up for Edelweiss plus! Excited, Yes! But still a little confused. These last couple of months got me asking myself questions. Big ones. Like what I want for my career. I love reviewing. Though it does not pay. Not at the moment. I am trying to be a lot serious about this then I was when I came into this.

The result of it is this; I got a new blog (no followers as of yet). I got an edelweiss account.

There is one other thing I realized. I am from Maldives. We do have writers here but a lot of them do it as a side hobby/job. I have not at the moment seen any Review Group in Maldives catering to writers/authors. Or even publishers. So maybe.. Fingers Crossed! If all of this works out...

----- Last night's fiasco -----

I was thinking of changing to Wordpress. Blogger is annoying. But then I think that I want to have atleast some kind of following before changing to Wordpress.

And then I realize I can atleast try it. You know. It did say I can cancel at any time. But I am not so sure.

I think I am going on a research mission to find out what is better!!

Blog Themes & Whatnot

I am tired.

Really.. really.. really tired.

I thought of changing the theme. And I did. But the themes I liked did not view some of the things (do not remember the name of it - low on sleep) I have added. So I changed it. Again. Again. And Again. At some point the Tab Page just kind of disappeared on me. So I added it. And when I had changed my theme. It disappeared. So I added it again. I eventually found a theme I like. And then the page tab thingy disappeared on me AGAIN. So I added it. I changed the color a couple of times. AND lo and behold it disappeared AGAIN. SOO I added it again.

I am not doing this again. Changing themes. It is not worth it. The current theme. It is going to be there for some time. Cause I AM NOT CHANGING IT!!!

Sorry...

It is almost morning. I did not sleep. I had coffee.

And Now I will read. Tomorrow is FRIDAYYYY!!!!

Currently Reading

I have too many books that I am currently reading. Tonight right after this one. I will try to finish one of my Horror Novels that I have started and left it out halfway through. I have got a Western to read. And "Subhuman". As well as a two romance; one a paranormal. Wow! that is a lot. There is also a Series I started. Immortal Ops Series by Mandy M. Roth. I am in the 3rd book of that. Sheesh... Am I forgetting another book?! ....  😶 Maybe.

I am waiting and waiting and waiting for the "Purrfectly Dead (Whiskey, Tango & Foxtrot Mystery #5) by Dixie Lyle" to come out.

I tried to find listing of it places other than Goodreads and I have not been that much successful. It comes out in 31st of October. But there should at least be some kind of listing, right?!??

Had a check through. AND I found the book on AMAZON & Book Depository. But the bad news is that it is not yet available, even for pre-order. The release date is "January 1, 2099" Nice one right. If Amazon is right I am never going to read this one in my lifetime. However, I do think It may just actually release this month as Goodreads is saying. ~~fingers crossed~~

Back to Work!

"Good Lord. With his genes and her mother's, she would be perfect. Stupendous. And boys would eventually notice her fabulousness, which would mean...

As all the various realizations crashed into him, he hugged his daughter into him tight, even as he made plans to get a bigger castle. One with a moat. Filled with gators.

Oh and guard towers. Manned with guns."
I have always loved reading Eve Langlais whenever I needed a some break. This book was a fun and light hearted with the added romance and a bit of action in later on tied up the book very nicely at the end.

Teena and Dimitri. They  are different. Teena is clumsy and self conscious. While Dimitri is the exact opposite. The combination of them is great. Dimitri brings Teena out of her shell and help her be proud of her clumsy self.

Though the book is part of a series I do think it is possible for the book to be read as a stand alone. It was written in a way that I never was confused or thought I was missing part of the backstory or anything.  From the start to the end. It was a smooth read. I read it in one sitting. Usually do it for all of her Books.

Now the plot, Wow! The best way to explain the plot is Dimitri kidnaps Teena. And ends up crashing the plane that he tried to whisk Teena away in. From there the book gets... 😊😊😊  ... Interesting. Never Boring. I end up laughing and then getting a bit angry at the 'villain' (that is all I am going to say).

All in all a fun read with a bunch of characters that would make you fall in love in with them.

Genre: Mystery, Psychological Thriller, Suspense.
Publisher: HQ Digital

My Review: 4 Stars

My Review:

Received through Netgalley,  Thank you so much to the Publishers for the read.

The first thing I got to mention is; this is Pheobe Morgan's Debut Novel. And I loved it. That is saying something considering that I am not a Suspense fan.

Pheobe is a great writer, I tell you this because I went through all of the same emotions that Corrine and Ashley did. The dread of something is wrong gripped from the get go and never let me go until the end.
The reason I say that this is a Suspense is that bits and pieces of the past was gradually revealed. The answers of questions like Who was doing it was answered. At the same time more questions came out like...Why do it? or even What is the end result that they want. Do the people who are doing it is doing it to just make the family suffer or is there a more sinister plot that was not revealed.

The Doll House has Multiple POV's. With the story starting with one of the POV's past. And slowly bringing it all together. It was a bit of disorienting reading so many Point of Views but the with the climax, came the understanding of why it was needed.

I loved the Cover, absolutely Loved it! It is eye catching. Made me read the blurb and eventually the whole book.

The climax was Intense, very much so. But the ending felt like a bit of a cliff hanger to me. Made me ask myself If there would be series of this Novel?

The Doll House is a Psychological Thriller that will grip with it's talons until the very end.

I Love the Cover. It was what grabbed me and wanted me to try this one out. I know judging a book by it's cover is not good and I may be losing a couple of good books by doing that but this one... sigh...

Okay, First thing first. The Cat. O'Ryan. Is ADORABLE. And a total gentlemen. He goes outside to do his business. And waits up until Lee returns home from work to go to sleep. I am absolutely in love with the him.

The main  character Lee, is back home to start anew. With a trip to an interview ending up her losing the interview and then discovering a dead body. She finds out that the dead was the host for the late night show for WICH-TV and gets offered the late night host job.

The books starts out great. The mystery and other events in Lee's life make up a great read as well as keeping me stuck in the book. However, that being said I do think that after a while the mystery just seemed to be stretched too thin. Halfway through the book the mystery was not a mystery as much finding out what happened to Janet for me.

Even before the climax I had realized who the murderer was. What kept me on the book was finding out why? and What happened?

I may be saying a little too much but I think this book or the mystery on some very bad things that had happened in the past. What goes around comes around. There is a result for every action. Bad or Good.

The climax was  worth the bump in the book. Wrapped the book up nicely, with probably a hint of good change and new friendship.

Blog Post #4

I have 2 posts scheduled for the coming two days. I am almost finished with one book.

I will try to finish Doll House after that. I do not like Suspense. I read it. But not a fan of it. And Doll House is a Suspense. Though it is a good book so far.

I think I am getting a hang of posting. Now I just have to assemble the pages that looks and is better to understand. Good Luck to me!

I am going back to reading.

Happy Reading, Guys!

Series: Southern Submission Book 1

Genre: Erotic Romance, BDSM

Publisher: Changeling Press LLC

My Review: 4 Stars

The Story as far as I can tell is pretty simple. A father trying to get his daughter back. He makes a deal with Zoe to be his fake fiance. One of the things that was apparent at first glance was their attraction. It was a lust at first sight.

You could probably say it was a love at first sight. But somehow I do not think that. During the course of the book, both Zoe and Beau got to know each other. There were little things between them that made me fall in love with the characters more and more.

I am not going to mention those things since the book is a short story it might just give the whole book away.

The book also had bits of BDSM in it. For readers who do not read BDSM it may became a little uncomfortable. I would like to say that this book can be great also for readers who want to get to know or even try to experiment on the BDSM reads.

The Cover was something that I think could be better. It only interpreted part of the book for me.

The climax was by far the best for me. It gave a feel of family and satisfaction that I absolutely adored.

Blog Post #3

There are a couple of more posts that I have to do but there are a couple of more books that I have to finish.

Right at the moment, I am trying to finish Pint-Sized Protector and The Doll House.

I will probably get two posts done (not of the books mentioned above) and have it posted one a day. That would maybe give me enough time finish all two and then go half way on a book that I have started a couple of days ago.

Maybe I should stop reading multiple books at the same time. However, sometime the book warrants it. I was reading Sick Fux couple of days ago. It is a dark romance. A VERY DARK ROMANCE. I had to stop half way through to get my bearings and center myself with other books. I am not saying the book is bad. IT IS NOT.

If I get the plan of writing two posts tomorrow done then I could at least have 3 posts to do by the end of two days. If I get the time to do all of it.

You know last week I watched Cult of Chucky. And I realized that I kind of liked the old ones better. This new one was good. But I think I want to start watching the old ones again. It has been years since I watched Chucky. Now that is a Horror that is a must watch.

Review:

The Haunting of Hill House was something I found out about while I was going through a couple of classics. Our School Library was small, we did not have a lot of books. Now after reading this I know that a lot of these young kids are missing a lot of good books since they are not available here or some of us have not heard of those books.

Let's set that aside for now.

When I started reading it, I was skeptic.I have read a lot of gory and hide under the bed sheet kind of horror novels, so I was not sure exactly what this would give me.

The beginning was a buildup and a suspense. But the book also gave a lot about the character. Including Eleanor and Theodora. Then there is Lucas. Dr. Montague and his wife. His wife. Halfway through the book I met his wife. And that was when I realized how good Shirley Jackson was in writing. The characters for me came alive. I started to doubt Eleanor. I started to think that she was actually doing some of these incidents. And Mrs. Montague. She gave me whole range of emotions. Like happy in a way that she was thinking about the dead. But annoying. So..soooo Annoying! I got to say it has been some time since I was actually this much annoyed at a character.

All in All, A great read for teens or anyone who wants to venture into the Horror realm.

Review: Beyond the Carousel (Wyattsviille Series #5) by Bette Lee Crosby

Title: Beyond the Carousel

Author: Bette Lee Crosby

Series: Wyattsville Series Book 5

Genre: Historical Fiction, Mystery/Thriller, Suspense

Publisher: Bent Pine Publishing

No. of Pages: 243 Pages

My Review: 5 Stars

I have been a fan of Bette Lee Crosby's Writing for some time now. One thing is a given in her books, that is emotions. You will feel a range of emotions starting from the happiness to pain.

One other thing I realized about her books was the titles. They are special with hidden meanings.

When I went into this book I was skeptical about the what the meaning of Beyond the Carousel could mean. That was until I read the whole book. Now, I can say for sure that the title is truly apt for this book.

The book is a Historical Fiction more than it being a Mystery or even a thriller. I would classify the book as a Historical Fiction and a Suspense rather than a Mystery thriller. Though I have added all of them.

The book spans almost 3 generations. That being said it is written such a way that was easy to understand. With separate chapters for the First Person POV. Each character had their own First Person POV chapter. I have read enough of multiple First person POV's to know if you do it right it's great but if you do not than, you probably need a little help.

Overall a Good read that had a bit of romance and the good and bad that life is all about.

Well worth reading if you are looking for a real honest to goodness story line that would keep you in it's grasp until the very end.

Currently Reading:

Should probably get a separate one for this rather than a blog update.

For the time being. This will do.

I have been wanting to get a Bette Lee Crosby for months. So couple of days ago I bought her Beyond the Carousel Kindle.

Just started reading the book. So far so good. One reason for reading this author's book is that she has yet to disappoint me in any of her books. So I know I am going to Love it.

I have a bunch of books that I need to finish. I think I am going to go into a reading binge to finish all that.

Tomorrow is Friday, 13th October. So I can stay late and read.

Hiya Guys!

A little Intro first I guess. My name is Sal. Or My blogger name is Sal Williams. Reason for that is simple. I do not want my family in no ways realizing this is me.

So... My name is Sal Williams in this blog. I love reading. And the reason for this blog is that I have been reviewing books for a couple of years and I need to improve my writing skills.

This blog would be mainly about my reviews and reads and what I am currently reading.

This is my first time blogging. So I am sure I have missed somethings in this blogs so bear with me please.
